I am indeed happy, David, to learn that you are to receive the Migel Medal. It is more than 20 years now since most of us got started with the Apple II- e computer and Bex; and I doubt that I would have persisted with learning to use a computer had it not been for your endless patience in encouraging me.

I always felt that I could call Raised Dot Computing with confidence, and neither you nor Caryn ever said a single word or sighed and single sigh at my problems.

You were willing to furnish us with braille at all times, and I think I was the longest living user of Dipner Dots. Many of us remain committed to Megadots, too.

Congratulations and best wishes to you on this much-deserved occasion!

Sincerely

Winifred Downing
